Awareness

Awareness is the first step in controlling MPBs in your area. Early detection is extremely important. By the time trees turn red, new generations of beetles have already exited the trees and each will infest up to ten more. Being able to locate new areas of infestation and understanding the available options to treat these areas is essential to protecting your properties. Because owners are not always present it is difficult to maintain effective supervision of a large area. When groups and communities work together, there is much better coverage and supervision throughout your area.

Effectiveness

While having just your property treated is very effective protection against the MPB, when your neighbors get involved it reduces the overwhelming numbers of MPBs in your area giving your trees that much more protection.

View

Your individual property is your space in the mountains, but much of what makes your space special are the views surrounding it. The view probably had much to do with why you bought or built in your location. Your view is also a major contributor to your property’s monetary value. When neighbors work together, much of the view that surrounds individual properties can be saved.

Cost

As you can see on our price list, the cost of spraying your trees can be significantly reduced as the number of trees to be treated increases. When communities work together to receive high volume discounts, we require that one contract and invoice be given to the group. This is because of efficiency issues that allow us to offer the volume discounts. It requires some additional planning and coordination on your part, but can save you money.
