Dead trees or “snags” or “hazard trees” can pose a severe threat to your home and the people living in it.
Beetle-hit trees that die can fall naturally as soon as one year after they die!
So, if you don’t want the tree to fall on your house or child, have FFM remove it safely either but controlled falling, pulling with a winch, climbing and topping or piecing down.
Why hazard tree removal is a good idea
No more “widow maker” hanging above your house!
If we remove these trees while there are still beetles in them it benefits the remaining trees. Along those lines, the safest time to remove the trees is while they are still a little green. This is because green wood stretches, and lets us be more efficient in falling the trees. Dry or especially rotten trees usually “break” or “snap” , complicating our control over exactly how the tree goes down.
And remember, removing hazard trees also creates defensible space.
As a note, FFM is fully insured in the event something happens. We do have a clean slate and definately plan on keeping it that way!
